The Hoya 82mm UX UV Camera Filter from Hoya is a lens filter that, when attached to your lens, permits only the visible spectrum of light rays to enter the camera and get captured by the sensor. Hoya 82mm UX UV Camera Filter is equipped with 10-layer anti-reflective and HMC-WR (water-repellent) coating. Though not visible to the naked eye, UV light rays are visible to camera sensors and film. They can adversely affect the image when shooting in locations like seasides, landscapes or mountainous environments, resulting in blurred contours or faded and whitish images. UV filters are able to suppress the UV spectrum contained in daylight that causes poor effect on images. This Hoya 82mm UX UV Camera Filter can be used with both film and digital cameras and provides more vivid images. In addition, by keeping it constantly attached to the lens, this Hoya 82mm UX UV Camera Filter serves as everyday lens protection. The Hoya 82mm UX UV Camera Filter with improved water-repellent coating is an upgrade to the first generation HOYA UX filter. The Hoya 82mm UX UV Camera Filter, which can be used on both film and digital cameras, absorbs ultraviolet rays that often make outdoor images appear unintentionally diffuse and indistinct.
The UV glass does this by absorbing the spectrum of UV rays responsible, making images appear clearer and sharper and reducing haze. This versatile Hoya 82mm UX UV Camera Filter is suitable for both color and black-and-white photography and also serves as an always-on lens protector.
The already very high quality coating of the Hoya 82mm UX UV Camera Filter has been enhanced for the new UX II series with an improved WR coating on both sides of the glass. Water can thus bead off immediately on contact with the glass without leaving any traces. In addition to this practical effect, the coating also prevents streaks and fingerprints. This reduces the frequency of cleaning and thus the risk of micro-scratches. Even stubborn dirt can be wiped off without much effort or is washed away by the rainwater that falls on it. This new 10x coating, which has been applied to both sides of the Hoya 82mm UX UV Camera Filter glass, also ensures reliable reflection suppression.
The glass is held in place by a new and very thin aluminum mount. Vignetting on wide-angle and super-wide-angle lenses can thus be avoided.

Same Day Delivery / For Customers in Nairobi Metropolitan Area
We use Courier for these orders, which allows fast and reliable delivery to destinations across their comprehensive domestic network. Orders placed between 7 Am and 5 Pm will be delivered the same day otherwise they will be delivered the following day. Delivery times vary depending on a product's stock status and the intended delivery address. For very large orders, we may be forced to use Mainfreight as these orders lie outside of what Courier Rider services can handle. If your order is being shipped with Mainfreight, this will be indicated in your fulfilment email along with a tracking number.
Overnight Delivery
Most In stock products are delivered overnight anywhere in Kenya – provided the order is placed before the advertised cut-off time. Our Overnight Delivery cut-off is usually 4:30pm Monday to Friday, however, this is updated daily and the expected shipping date will be shown for you on the product page. Larger products take an additional 1–2 days to be delivered.
Evening Express Delivery
Same Day Delivery is available to Nairobi & its suburbs. Same Day Delivery orders are delivered between 4pm and 7pm in the evening on the same day your order is dispatched.
If you are ordering on a business day and before the cutoff time, the option will be called “Same Day Delivery”. If you are ordering after the cutoff time or on a weekend or public holiday, the option will be called “Evening Express Delivery”. And May incur extra Costs other than the standard shipping fee.
